“I’m wearing a long black evening dress, looking stunning and playing the cello.”
That’s Annah’s goal. And after her makeover, she’s well on the way to achieving it - she just needs to invest in some Cello lessons. She tells us the first one is booked in :)
Annah, 40, is a solo mum of two boys, aged 16 & 2. Her oldest is her best friend and rock; “he’s so kind and loving”. “My two-year old was my delightful wee surprise, he’s so mischievous, fun and cute. My sons are my reason for rising everyday."
Annah works part time coordinating fun activities for after-school care and loves it. She's also an instructor with City Fitness and is a keen photographer. She loves hockey and is someone you’d think twice about tackling in a game, she’s goalkeeper and is quite an imposing figure in her protective gear.
So why the makeover?
“I want to feel pretty. I want to be confident. I want to be feminine, to wear lippy, to wear a dress…
I wear jeans and a t-shirt to work and in the weekend. I’d love to dress up more, to wear smarter casual clothes, more feminine clothes. I’m tired of dressing like ‘one of the boys’."
“When is the last time you did something for the first time?”, is one of Annah’s key sayings. It’s a great one, invigorating and motivating. It’s important to have sayings like this, as long as you act on them. Having a makeover is a first for Annah, now she just has to get Cello lessons underway. Go Annah. We look forward to you inviting us to one of your concerts.
