When it comes to cooking if there's a shortcut to be had, I'll find it. Even better when I can get out of it completely!
If you're stuck for a quick, easy and delicious chicken recipe one night, I highly recommend this. It's a pre-prepared curry paste. I use Asian Home Gourmet's Butter Chicken but there are lots of flavours to choose from. Take some chicken breasts (cut into smaller, individual portions or leave whole) or chicken tenderloins. It doesn't really matter what cut you use. Marinate the chicken for about an hour and then BBQ or cook on a medium heat in the frypan. You'll need a little oil so it doesn't stick. And that my darlings is it. Serve with salad or vegetables.
- Chicken skewers, layering up the chicken on the skewer once it's marinated to ensure it's covered all over.
- BBQ Rotisserie chicken - basting the whole chicken and marinading it for about an hour.
- Curry, following the instructions on the packaging. Available in all supermarkets.
Asian Home Gourmet
I can't vouch for its healthy properties but it is Gluten Free and free of MSG, preservatives and artificial colours.
WARNING: take careful note of the heat level in the top right corner of the packaging - I've mistakeningly bought the 'HOT' version a few times and left the family wishing I hadn't!!
