I feel like a princess. I’ve just had a Microdermabrasion Treatment at Caci. A Microderma what?
Microdermabrasion is an exfoliating treatment, designed to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate the skin, giving it a refreshed and healthy glow. In removing the dead skin cells, it also helps soften lines and wrinkles, improve blemishes, stimulate the creation of collagen and tone the skin. Liking the sound of that!
When I was first recommended Microdermabrasion by Caci, being ignorant, I immediately thought it might have been one of those aggressive face peels and I wasn’t keen at all. I was quickly assured that Caci doesn’t have any nasty treatments, that every treatment or product is thoroughly tested and that Caci only has qualified professionals on the job. Assured, I agreed to have a go.
My appointment was for one hour, including an initial consultation to check my health and medical status, assess my skin concerns and the most suitable treatment for me.

The Microdermabrasion treatment includes a mini facial which is soooo nice. The actual exfoliating part of the treatment didn’t hurt at all, it just felt like someone using a small coarse eraser lightly on your face, combined with suction to remove all the dead skin and help circulate the blood to encourage cell renewal. Microdermabrasion is not a one hit wonder, it will provide instant short term benefits, but to gain maximum long term results, you should have the treatment on a regular basis. Caci actually offer skin treatment programmes to so you can schedule them over the year – and they offer payment plans too so you can fit it around your budget and lifestyle.

I had my treatment at Caci’s High Street, Auckland clinic. I walked in off the grey, cold street into a tranquil and relaxing environment - it was warm, beautifully lit, relaxing music playing, aroma from the vanilla scented candles, and a gorgeous greeting when you arrive.

What a great overall experience. Thank you Caci, I loved it. I certainly wasn’t going to let the dumb $200 parking ticket (expired Warrant of Fitness) on my return to the car, dampen my mood! Grrr.
